Rayton 2012

First event for the year held in Rayton saw us earlier than usual to make the trek from PE to Pretoria. Joined by this time Adrian James, a new camera operator to help us out on the shoot. Konrad Geel sadly is no longer with us and  is now based in Germany .

The trip went well, but 50km from our destination we got lost. Opting for a shortcut and assured by our GPS that this was indeed a valid road we headed into the centre of farmland. Surrounded by only darkness and mielies we had to open and close several barbed wire gates to realise it was a dead end. Leaving us with no option, but to back track all the way to the main road.

Finally we arrived at Diamond X Ranch, the venue for the National event. The 4x4 course was great. Loads of action and dust. After a long day of shooting in the sun we head for the ranch where we were entertained with music by legend country singer Clive Bruce. Over all an good trip and loads of fun. A great start to the year and the next event in Bloemfontein on the 14th of April promises even more excitement.
